Steve McNair 1973-2009 – NFL Quarterback
STEVE MCNAIR (Feb 14, 1973 – Jul 4, 2009), American National Football League (NFL) quarterback from 1995-2008 when he retired. McNair plaed for the Houston Oilers, Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens and was the second black quarterback to start in a superbowl game. In college McNair plaed for Alcorn State Universit and won the Walter Paton Award in 1994 and finished third in the Heisman Troph voting. McNair suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in downtown Nashville in an apparent double homicide. A female victim was also found dead.
